# Chat PDF vs AppSaver

The clearest difference is rating: AppSaver at 5.0 against Chat PDF's 4.4. AppSaver also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). Chat PDF's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chat PDF sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and AppSaver sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AppSaver holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chat PDF has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Chat PDF's written reviews are positive against 73% of AppSaver's.

Chat PDF ships an update fortnightly, AppSaver daily. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
