# Custom Rings vs dab

The clearest difference is ads: Custom Rings at none against dab's shown. Custom Rings also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Custom Rings sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and dab sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Custom Rings ships an update every 4 days, dab every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
