# Custom Rings vs Tact

The clearest difference is update cadence: Custom Rings at every 4 days against Tact's fortnightly. Custom Rings also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Custom Rings sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tact sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Custom Rings ships an update every 4 days, Tact fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
