# Soma vs Whenlyy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Whenlyy at every 2 months against Soma's every 15 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Soma sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.00 per month and Whenlyy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Soma ships an update every 15 months, Whenlyy every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
