# IPTV Smarters Player Lite Pro vs For the Plot

The clearest difference is monetization model: IPTV Smarters Player Lite Pro at free with in-app purchases against For the Plot's subscription. IPTV Smarters Player Lite Pro also leads on ratings volume (105 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). For the Plot's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Smarters Player Lite Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and For the Plot sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

For the Plot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Smarters Player Lite Pro has 105 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

IPTV Smarters Player Lite Pro ships an update every 2 months, For the Plot every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
