# Alarm Clock vs WizNote

The clearest difference is rating: WizNote at 4.9 against Alarm Clock's 4.6. WizNote also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). Alarm Clock's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (419 vs 50). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarm Clock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year and WizNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WizNote holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alarm Clock has 419 ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Alarm Clock's written reviews are positive against 82% of WizNote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarm Clock ships an update every 6 days, WizNote every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
