# CubeAni vs MangaToucan

The clearest difference is monetization model: MangaToucan at freemium against CubeAni's subscription. CubeAni's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 33%) and rating (4.0 vs 3.6). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CubeAni sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and MangaToucan sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CubeAni holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 13 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 63% of CubeAni's written reviews are positive against 33% of MangaToucan's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
