# SolidNote vs Provaro

The clearest difference is rating: SolidNote at 5.0 against Provaro's 1.0. SolidNote also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Provaro's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SolidNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Provaro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SolidNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively.

SolidNote ships an update every 3 months, Provaro every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
