# Purplemana vs Lootbeat

Purplemana and Lootbeat both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of Purplemana's written reviews are positive against 11% of Lootbeat's. Lootbeat's advantage is ratings volume (108 vs 4) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Purplemana against 3.9 for Lootbeat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lootbeat has 108 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Purplemana's written reviews are positive against 11% of Lootbeat's.

Purplemana ships an update every 2 days, Lootbeat every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
