# StepSaga vs Steply

The clearest difference is ads: Steply at none against StepSaga's shown. Steply also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (134 vs 7). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepSaga sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Steply sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for StepSaga against 4.9 for Steply. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steply has 134 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of StepSaga's written reviews are positive against 94% of Steply's.

StepSaga ships an update every 3 weeks, Steply weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
