# Purpose vs Stumble App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Stumble App at free against Purpose's free with in-app purchases. Stumble App also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%). Purpose's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (383 vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Purpose sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Stumble App sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Purpose holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Purpose has 383 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Purpose's written reviews are positive against 100% of Stumble App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Purpose ships an update weekly, Stumble App every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
