# Purpose vs Patch Tarot

The clearest difference is ads: Purpose at none against Patch Tarot's shown. Purpose also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (447 vs 41). Patch Tarot's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Purpose sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Patch Tarot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Purpose against 5.0 for Patch Tarot. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Purpose has 447 ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of Purpose's written reviews are positive against 100% of Patch Tarot's.

Purpose ships an update weekly, Patch Tarot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
