# Gini Help vs DataShield

The clearest difference is rating: DataShield at 5.0 against Gini Help's 4.6. Gini Help's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (62 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gini Help sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DataShield sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DataShield holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gini Help has 62 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Gini Help ships an update every 2 days, DataShield weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
