# Podcript vs VidMask

The clearest difference is ads: VidMask at none against Podcript's shown. VidMask also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Podcript sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and VidMask sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Podcript ships an update every 2 months, VidMask every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
