# MatchTimer Pro vs RefMate

The clearest difference is update cadence: RefMate at every 5 days against MatchTimer Pro's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MatchTimer Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and RefMate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MatchTimer Pro ships an update every 2 months, RefMate every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
