# SignChat vs FirstEcho

The clearest difference is ads: FirstEcho at none against SignChat's shown. FirstEcho also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.2). SignChat's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SignChat sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $139.99 per year and FirstEcho sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
