# Comic Book vs Retro

The clearest difference is ads: Comic Book at none against Retro's shown. Retro's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comic Book sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Retro sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Comic Book ships an update every 2 months, Retro weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
