# SadBox vs Moodimals

The clearest difference is update cadence: Moodimals at every 2 weeks against SadBox's every 4 weeks. Moodimals also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SadBox sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Moodimals sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SadBox ships an update every 4 weeks, Moodimals every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 9, 2026.
