# StepZen vs StepWise

The clearest difference is ads: StepZen at none against StepWise's shown. StepZen also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepZen sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and StepWise sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepZen ships an update every 3 days, StepWise every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
