# Auto Shiny Counter vs TCG Value Scanner

Auto Shiny Counter and TCG Value Scanner both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Auto Shiny Counter's written reviews are positive against 27% of TCG Value Scanner's. Auto Shiny Counter also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). TCG Value Scanner's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 73) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Auto Shiny Counter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and TCG Value Scanner sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Auto Shiny Counter against 4.7 for TCG Value Scanner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TCG Value Scanner has 1.2K ratings behind it against 73, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Auto Shiny Counter's written reviews are positive against 27% of TCG Value Scanner's.

Auto Shiny Counter ships an update fortnightly, TCG Value Scanner every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
