# NYC Finder vs Experience NYC

The clearest difference is ads: Experience NYC at none against NYC Finder's shown. Experience NYC also leads on ratings volume (46 vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). NYC Finder's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for NYC Finder against 4.9 for Experience NYC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Experience NYC has 46 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NYC Finder ships an update every 2 days, Experience NYC every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
