# Typeless vs Second Brain

Typeless and Second Brain both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Second Brain's written reviews are positive against 58% of Typeless's. Typeless's advantage is ratings volume (784 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Typeless sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $30.00 per month and Second Brain sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Typeless against 4.5 for Second Brain. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Typeless has 784 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of Typeless's written reviews are positive against 100% of Second Brain's.

Typeless ships an update weekly, Second Brain every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
