# GetGot vs Midpoint

The clearest difference is rating: Midpoint at 4.6 against GetGot's 4.0. Midpoint also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (40 vs 8). GetGot's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 60%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GetGot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.90 per month and Midpoint sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Midpoint holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Midpoint has 40 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of GetGot's written reviews are positive against 60% of Midpoint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GetGot ships an update every 2 weeks, Midpoint every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
