# Cift vs Chat Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chat Notes at none against Cift's 2. Chat Notes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Cift's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cift sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Chat Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chat Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cift has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cift ships an update fortnightly, Chat Notes every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
