# Researchist vs Cinch

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cinch at every 3 days against Researchist's fortnightly. Cinch also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 27.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Researchist sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year and Cinch sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Researchist ships an update fortnightly, Cinch every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
