# Jiritsu vs Notepad

The clearest difference is update cadence: Jiritsu at every 2 days against Notepad's every 9 days. Notepad's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Jiritsu ships an update every 2 days, Notepad every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
