# Askie vs MathPen

The clearest difference is ads: MathPen at none against Askie's shown. Askie's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 3 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Askie sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and MathPen sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Askie ships an update daily, MathPen every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
