# Reading Journey vs BookCard

The clearest difference is update cadence: Reading Journey at every 10 days against BookCard's every 6 weeks. BookCard's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reading Journey sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and BookCard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Reading Journey ships an update every 10 days, BookCard every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
