# Aura vs Quest

The clearest difference is rating: Aura at 4.6 against Quest's 4.0. Aura also leads on review sentiment (27% vs 0%) and ratings volume (2.6K vs 6). Quest's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aura sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month and Quest sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aura holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aura has 2.6K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of Aura's written reviews are positive against 0% of Quest's.

Aura ships an update fortnightly, Quest every 2 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
