# Genesis War vs Annulus

The clearest difference is monetization model: Genesis War at free with in-app purchases against Annulus's subscription. Annulus's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Genesis War sells 61 one-off in-app purchases and Annulus sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 2.9 for Genesis War against 2.8 for Annulus. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 36 and 23 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Genesis War's written reviews are positive against 28% of Annulus's.

Genesis War ships an update fortnightly, Annulus every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
