# Gig Message vs A4Pad

The clearest difference is rating: Gig Message at 5.0 against A4Pad's 4.7. Gig Message also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). A4Pad's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gig Message holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: A4Pad has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Gig Message ships an update every 8 days, A4Pad weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
