# Dawn Reading Browser vs Modex

The clearest difference is update cadence: Modex at weekly against Dawn Reading Browser's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dawn Reading Browser sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Modex sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dawn Reading Browser ships an update every 2 weeks, Modex weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
