About

Recipe Folio AI

Take a photo of the page. Cook from it tonight. Most of us keep recipes everywhere. A cookbook on the shelf, a page torn from a magazine, a screenshot a friend sent, forty food photos in the camera roll. Recipe Folio AI puts them in one place, helps you cook them, and helps you cook them a little better each time. Snap. Save. Plan. Host. Cook. Rate. Get better. SNAP Point your phone at the page. Recipe Folio AI reads it and writes it up as a recipe: the name, what you need and what to do. Scanning is free, with no limit. Free reading happens on your device with Apple Intelligence, which needs an iPhone 15 Pro, an iPhone 16 or later, or an iPad with M1 or later. On other devices, Photo reading in Plus reads the page for you, or you can add your own OpenAI key in Settings. The support page shows how. SAVE Every recipe in one place. Search by name, or show only breakfast, lunch, dinner, your favourites or the ones you have cooked. Fix anything the reader got wrong, or type a recipe in yourself. PLAN THE WEEK (PLUS) Your week is a row of dated days. Tap a day, add a meal, move to any week you like. Send one meal, one day or the whole week to a shopping list. EVENTS (PLUS) Having people over? Give the night a name, a date and the number of guests. Build the menu by course from your own recipes, and every dish is scaled to the table. Print the menu on one page. Past events stay in the list, so you can see what you served last time. SHOPPING LISTS (PLUS) One list for the week, one for a day, one for each event. The same ingredient lands on one line. Amounts in the same unit are added up, and different units sit side by side, so a total is never wrong. Print a list, send it to Reminders or share it. COOK One step at a time, in big type. The screen stays on. If a step has a time in it, the timer is right there. Halve a recipe, double it or triple it. RATE When you finish, give it stars, say whether you followed the recipe or changed it, and leave a note. "Too salty" or "Needed longer" is one tap. GET BETTER The next time you open that recipe, your notes are waiting, along with every time you have cooked it. You remember what to change, so the dish gets better. WHAT IS FREE Snapping, saving, searching, typing a recipe in, editing, scaling, printing and sharing recipes, cook mode, timers, stars and notes. These stay free. RECIPE FOLIO PLUS Plus is optional. It adds four things: - Photo reading. For pages your phone reads badly, the photo goes through our server to a stronger reader. 50 photo readings a month. - The meal planner. - Events. - Shopping lists. Monthly or yearly. No free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. Plus renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. If you never want Plus, the free app keeps working. It is up to you. No account. No sign-up. No tracking. The first time Photo reading would send a photo, the app asks you first. The photo goes through our server to OpenAI, which reads it. Our server does not keep your photos or your recipes. OpenAI may keep the photo and what it read for up to 30 days to check for misuse, unless the law requires longer, and does not use it to train its models.
