# Snap Second vs GenStick

The clearest difference is update cadence: Snap Second at every 9 days against GenStick's every 2 months. GenStick's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snap Second sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and GenStick sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Snap Second ships an update every 9 days, GenStick every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
