# Move To Scroll vs Steps Unlock

The clearest difference is monetization model: Steps Unlock at free with in-app purchases against Move To Scroll's subscription. Steps Unlock also leads on rating (4.2 vs 4.0). Move To Scroll's advantage is review sentiment (14% vs 5%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Move To Scroll sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Steps Unlock sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steps Unlock holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 162 and 127 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Move To Scroll's written reviews are positive against 5% of Steps Unlock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Move To Scroll ships an update every 8 days, Steps Unlock weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
