# Animal Identifier & Tracker vs WildDex

The clearest difference is rating: WildDex at 4.8 against Animal Identifier & Tracker's 3.0. WildDex also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Animal Identifier & Tracker's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Animal Identifier & Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and WildDex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
