# readme vs CoT

The clearest difference is rating: readme at 4.2 against CoT's 3.0. readme also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (18 vs 2). CoT's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

readme holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: readme has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

readme ships an update every 2 days, CoT weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
