# FlightyFlow vs Sofly

The clearest difference is monetization model: Sofly at free with in-app purchases against FlightyFlow's subscription. Sofly also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). FlightyFlow's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlightyFlow sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Sofly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlightyFlow holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sofly has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlightyFlow ships an update every 3 months, Sofly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
