# FirstTake Pro vs BindNotes

The clearest difference is update cadence: BindNotes at every 3 weeks against FirstTake Pro's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FirstTake Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and BindNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FirstTake Pro ships an update every 4 months, BindNotes every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
