# Sqwabl vs NameDrop

The clearest difference is ads: NameDrop at none against Sqwabl's shown. NameDrop also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). Sqwabl's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sqwabl sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and NameDrop sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sqwabl ships an update fortnightly, NameDrop every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
