# Comms vs Checkride Prep AI

The clearest difference is rating: Comms at 4.2 against Checkride Prep AI's 3.0. Comms also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (207 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comms sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Checkride Prep AI sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
