# DoseMate vs GlowBack

The clearest difference is rating: GlowBack at 4.6 against DoseMate's 3.0. GlowBack also leads on ratings volume (114 vs 16). DoseMate's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (83% vs 50%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DoseMate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and GlowBack sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GlowBack holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GlowBack has 114 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of DoseMate's written reviews are positive against 50% of GlowBack's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DoseMate ships an update every 6 days, GlowBack every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
