# Summary vs Notabook

The clearest difference is ads: Notabook at none against Summary's shown. Notabook also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Summary's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Summary sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and Notabook sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notabook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summary has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Summary ships an update every 6 days, Notabook weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
