# BF6 Meta vs MapGenie

The clearest difference is ads: BF6 Meta at none against MapGenie's shown. BF6 Meta also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (74% vs 58%). MapGenie's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BF6 Meta sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and MapGenie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MapGenie holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 404 and 191 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of BF6 Meta's written reviews are positive against 58% of MapGenie's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BF6 Meta ships an update weekly, MapGenie every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
