# Brainote AI vs Semester Stuff

The clearest difference is rating: Semester Stuff at 5.0 against Brainote AI's 4.7. Brainote AI's advantage is ratings volume (21 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainote AI sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Semester Stuff sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Semester Stuff holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainote AI has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Brainote AI ships an update every 10 days, Semester Stuff every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
