# AI Eraser vs Skycast

The clearest difference is ads: Skycast at none against AI Eraser's shown. Skycast also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months). AI Eraser's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15 vs 17.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Eraser sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Skycast sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for AI Eraser against 5.0 for Skycast. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Eraser has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AI Eraser ships an update every 9 months, Skycast every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
