# Bolt vs Travler

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Travler at 100% against Bolt's 27%. Travler also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Bolt's advantage is ratings volume (181K vs 4) and chart position (#52 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Travler holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bolt has 181K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of Bolt's written reviews are positive against 100% of Travler's.

Bolt ships an update weekly, Travler fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
