# Bolt vs Petra Ride

The clearest difference is rating: Bolt at 4.8 against Petra Ride's 3.6. Bolt also leads on ratings volume (181K vs 606) and chart position (#51 vs unranked). Petra Ride's advantage is review sentiment (59% vs 27%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bolt holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bolt has 181K ratings behind it against 606, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Bolt's written reviews are positive against 59% of Petra Ride's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bolt ships an update weekly, Petra Ride every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
