# AI Summary vs Instant Transcript

The clearest difference is rating: Instant Transcript at 5.0 against AI Summary's 1.0. AI Summary's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Summary sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Instant Transcript sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instant Transcript holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively.

AI Summary ships an update fortnightly, Instant Transcript every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
