# Film Development Assistant vs Agitation

The clearest difference is update cadence: Agitation at every 6 weeks against Film Development Assistant's every 10 months. Agitation also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Film Development Assistant sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Agitation sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Film Development Assistant ships an update every 10 months, Agitation every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
